| Description: | This
program is designed to meet the needs of students ranging from beginners with
no prior Spanish training to the more advanced who wish to perfect their understanding
of Spanish on the level of grammar, composition or conversation. Our usual summer student body varies although the majority come to us from United States and the European Union. Places are limited so we encourage you to enroll well in advance. |

| Overview and Course Structure: |
There are six general levels of total-immersion Spanish
language classes: A1 and A2 (Elemental ESPA100 and ESPA101), B1(Basic ESPA 102-ESPA103), B2 (Intermediate ESPA104- ESPA105), C1 (Superior
ESPA106 and ESPA107) and C2 (Advanced ESPA108 and ESPA109) plus 6 general
levels of Spanish writing and conversation: A1 and A2(Elemental CES110-
CES111), B1(Basic CES112-CES113), B2 (Intermediate CES114 and
CES115), C1 (Superior CES116 and CES117) and C2 (Advanced CES118 and CES119).
Each Spanish Summer Course is composed of a Grammar Language course and a
Writing and conversation Course. This benefits the students by providing them
with the most appropriate instruction for their learning needs.
As students encounter new objectives, they may master the material at different paces. For this reason, the summer is divided into 2 monthly segments, and students are evaluated at the end of each segment. At this time students may be promoted to a higher level. Occasionally, students with a firm understanding of Spanish grammar may have trouble communicating verbally. The design of the program permits us to accommodate such learning disparities to the benefit of both students and instructors. While such individualization allows students to optimize their learning experience, it also means that students should be evaluated individually at their home institutions in order to receive proper credit for the course. Note that regardless of class level, eighty percent class attendence and a passing exam score are required to receive course credit. |
